I apologize if this thread was perceived as "promotional". That was not my intention at all. And no, at this time this is not a upcoming new product line. However, in the unlikely event that it does I will by all means do the right thing and get a vendor membership.
 
I should have a complete pic soon. Its a super stout crossmember with a panhard (track) bar. Ever seen a Suburban on 37's handle more like a sportscar that a, well, Suburban on 37's? :laugh:

I would be worried about messing up u-bolts with that setup because of the leverage the tower creates. :dunno:

This part actually clamps to the axle tube outboard of the passenger side spring plate and bolts to where the swaybar used to bolt to. The u-bolts are 5/8" and the side bolt is 3/4" grade 8.

I would be more concerned about my welds using only a lincoln 135.

Ok, if I'm understanding you correctly...the bracket clamps to the axle tube between the passenger side spring plate and knuckle...correct?

If so, that alleviates any concerns I would have. :waytogo:
 
Well in that case, cool. It appeared to be a spring plate and since the D60 stud spacing is different than a u-bolt I automatically assumed it was for the driver's side.

And if it matches the angle of the crossover, everything should work awesome and you guys certainly did your homework. Kudos to both of you. :waytogo:
 
I'm already running the same setup (other than lower mount welded onto tthe axle). It has worked out great on my Blazer.

So the guy who made this sez it works well - is that now a hidden advertisement or not? If it is, then we can't even discuss any tech here anymore. Let's not get totally ridiculous here.

Easy there Paul. It's not an advertisement, it's good welding and a cool setup that he wanted to show off a little bit.

He never offered one up for sale or said to PM him if interested or anything. He also is not known on the board as a vendor, so it'd different than Jesse or Kert saying "hey guys, check this out".

i wanna see this in a truck! very interested in how it work, and fixes some of the on road characteristics of cross over/larger truck stuff... pics pics pics!

looks nice. few questions. does it replace the stock motor mounts? wats the biggest improvement it gives to a k5?
