Was the 7K tach for diesel engines or 6cyl? Was the 5K tach for gas 350 engines?

7k is aftermarket only.
5K for gas and 4k for diesels.
If you need a tach with a 7,000 rpm redline you built/bought the wrong engine for a heavy 4wd truck.
But that’s just me.
