I need to replace one of my factory engine oil cooler lines. Is there any place to get them besides the dealer? I have already replaced one of them and it wasn't cheap at the dealer. Would a custom flexible/braided line be better than the stock?

By the time you bought enough braided line and the required fittings the hose from the dealer will start to look real good price wise.

the cheapest way would be to remove it (dont really need it anyway), 2nd cheapest would be junkyard replacement and a good cleaning. Otherwise you cant beat the dealer

i got one of the lines a couple months ago i think it was the retrun line from napa 45 bucks...

The older braided lines were obviously better constructed, I have no problems with the ancient used ones I put on my truck. Used in those is an option IMO.

Which lines are you talking about? Are they the lines that run in front of the fan against the radiator? If so I have a couple I could send ya. I took them off a diesel last night and i'm not sure i've seen a gasser that has these but If its what you need then I got em! If you need a pic let me know.

Replacement engine oil cooler lines.

The NAPA replacement # for the lines are...
8091552 - inlet
8091553 - outlet

I'm assuming from your username that this is for an '88 K5 350 engine. No information in your sig.

Roughly about $40 each from most NAPA'S.
