Factory exaust manifold

& if any of you all have a picture of how you routed your exaust across to the Y pipe let me see what you did. I'm sure I can thread the needle but it's either going to be right up against the oil pan, or up against the tranny. I need to get the exaust tucked up so I can hang my skid plate. I'm 1/2 tempted to run duals outside of my frame rails... I already invested in a super cool Flowmaster Y pipe though.
Is the outlet diameter 2.25"? You can run anything you want, from a "best" perspective you'd want inlet/outlet to match, but realistically, with manifolds, "scavenging" is probably at best thinking hopefully, and the only reason you'd worry about the effects of going to a larger pipe as you go further back.
No pics, but running "mid length" headers, I ran the pipe from the passenger side over the front driveshaft and between the bellhousing and transmission body. Needed to route it higher for the driveshaft to move, but it self-clearanced.
