Failed Inspection...New Jersey

You are correct in your assumption. You can't subtract OR add to the number of cats your vehicle originally came with. Kind of stupid, but cat position, temperature, exhaust flow etc. is all figured into the application, I assume the gov. is worried that people don't have the right equipment to make sure that their modifications are actually working as well as they should be.

thanks for the offer but i have a guy i can get a sticker from, i just dont know if i want to go that route, it will get me a good inspection sticker but i dont know how to get the lifted truck waiver sticker, and am afraid of getting pulled over without it. i mean as far as explaining how i got an inspection sticker with out the lift sticker... they also failed me for having the exhaust come out "under or near an operational window." turnouts infront of the rear tires, with the sliding glass on the rear cap they say it isnt legal... but if i were to run the exhaust out the rear wouldnt that be illegal too since the tailgate glass goes down? just cant win...:doah:

Move to the midwest. We still think logically about vehicles. Most of us don't have inspections, though sometimes I wish we did, but we don't run emissions either. vehicles wear out. That's what happens with use. They understand that here. And lifted vehicles are welcome, since you are the guy pulling the cops out of the ditch in the winter...
