has a fi 350. runs great. bad th400. no rust. 4x4 46k its a old air force one. striped down model, but it has a/c. some scratches and dents but nothing big. asked him if he would sell this about a year ago. now hes ready to.

I was thinking 2600. fair?

i dont need another truck. i was just going to put a th400 in and flip it. thanks

if you're gonna flip it, see what they go for. Out here you couldn't get two grand for it in great shape, not now.

If it had a good tranny id pay up to 4000 for one!! I just bought a k5 1 ton so im good for a while. They are sweet!! Good luck!

2600 is a good price, for the guy who is getting the money. I wouldnt suggest you pay that much for it, offer him like $1500 and i wouldnt go much higher than that, especialy w/ a blown tranny. I will admit that to someone who wanted that truck it would be worth it, but it is hard to sell such a gigantic truck with the gradualy shrinking parking spaces, and the unstable state of gas prices, i'm sure they are gonna skyrocket again. I love these old trucks, and i still wouldnt pay that much for one, unless it was totaly mint. It would still be a lot of truck for under 3g's, but you can find them for less. I am looking for one now for parts, if you were to buy it your best bet may be parting it out if you would want. If it had a big block that may help, but sometimes it doesnt. It is a wish washy market for older gigantic trucks, i love em, but still....

I paid more than that for my 87 1/2 ton, but it is a MINT shortbox fleetside. These are more desirable due to them being much smaller and driveable. The crew cab 1 ton is a lot of truck, in a work or play application they are worth way more than they usualy always sell for, probably 2-3 times what they usualy sell for from what i've seen, but any of then near me, in Upstate NY are usualy so rotted you cant drive them. I would realy like to find a 4wd crew cab 1 ton w/ the axles and t-case i want, and then make it into a nice dropped 2wd driver.

I think 2K would be a fair offer. Gas prices don't keep people from buying a large truck if they need it.

I agree. You better make sure "your area" is supporting the sales of these big gas guzzling trucks. I'm trying to sell one that I've got $6000 into for $3950 and nobody has even called or emailed me about it.

I originally put mine up for sale so as to buy a diesel... but since fuel prices have come way down I am thinking I will keep it.

thanks for the help, i was going to walk away from it. then we talked a bit more. to good to pass up. just need a way to get it here. would be great to have a place to put it for a while. my trailer is to short

u can rent a come behind trailer to tow it home for like 50 bucks a day from u haul.it sounds like a good deal to me.2000 for it would be a good price.you can find a junkyard tranny and replace it for a couple hundred dollars.but if you are trying to flip it it may not be worth your while.like was said reserce and make sure you can get what you want in return when you resell it.

man its worth that in parts hell the 60 is worth 1500 in some places rust free cab is worth some coin as well

im getting it. just didnt get it here yet. i have no idea where a 60 would be worth 1500. i have a pile of 60s and 14b. have not been able to move much at all. i have some perfect set ready to bolt up even. i had a great set up to get pretty good cash for sets of axles, thats now gone too. i have taken apart running and driving cucvs now. no one seems to want a truck. just parts for what they have.

with the market the way it is, I could still sell a 60 out here for 1000 or 1200. I just bought an '85 one ton dually CC 4x4 with a smoky engine for 1200. I wouldnt spend a dime more than 1500-1800 on that one, in my experience, most old chevys are worth more in parts than complete.

I agree!

Maybe a few years ago when everyone was "caught up" in the hype of the Dana 60 (insert drama music here) but these days you shouldn't have to pay $1500 for a used Dana 60.

BUT: A decent running truck with rust free crew cab body and a Dana 60 is worth $1500 IMO even if it needs a transmission.
