2600 is a good price, for the guy who is getting the money. I wouldnt suggest you pay that much for it, offer him like $1500 and i wouldnt go much higher than that, especialy w/ a blown tranny. I will admit that to someone who wanted that truck it would be worth it, but it is hard to sell such a gigantic truck with the gradualy shrinking parking spaces, and the unstable state of gas prices, i'm sure they are gonna skyrocket again. I love these old trucks, and i still wouldnt pay that much for one, unless it was totaly mint. It would still be a lot of truck for under 3g's, but you can find them for less. I am looking for one now for parts, if you were to buy it your best bet may be parting it out if you would want. If it had a big block that may help, but sometimes it doesnt. It is a wish washy market for older gigantic trucks, i love em, but still....
I paid more than that for my 87 1/2 ton, but it is a MINT shortbox fleetside. These are more desirable due to them being much smaller and driveable. The crew cab 1 ton is a lot of truck, in a work or play application they are worth way more than they usualy always sell for, probably 2-3 times what they usualy sell for from what i've seen, but any of then near me, in Upstate NY are usualy so rotted you cant drive them. I would realy like to find a 4wd crew cab 1 ton w/ the axles and t-case i want, and then make it into a nice dropped 2wd driver.
