Fair Price for Blazer

Want all of your opinions on price of this blazer that I'm looking to buy. It's a 1971 K-5 4x4 blazer, 350 motor 100,000 miles owner says kind of tired, stock trans and running gear, no supsension modifications, interior fair, body is in fair shape, only rust is on both rocker panels. Owner has told me all of this over the phone. He lives 3 hours from me so i have not seen the blazer in person. Plan on checking it throughly inside and out, running magnet over body. He's asking 3000.00. Just need a fair to made the deal happen in onr trip. Thank's PS. also have to say that that when I'm on this site I feel that I'm in good company.

3K sounds a little steep for a thirty year old blazer. and i think that the odometer may actually be 200,000, because my 89 has over 100K already.
but it is the full convertible model.
offer him 1500 and see what he says.

I bought my 90 in May for $2500 I repainted it, and did some body work and minor stuff to it. Total in to it is about $400. The deals are out there you just have to look and be patient.

Oops make that $4000.00 Just remember you still ahve to put money into it to make it look good....

If the body is in good shape, $3000 is a good price for that Blazer.

Depends on your area, but around here that truck would go for somewhere between 2500 and 3500. I'd offer him something around 2200 and see what he says. If you've got the patience to wait it out you might find a first gen. in that condition for 1500-2000.

I wouldnt pay more than $500 dollars for something with rust in the rockers that is 29 years old and lord knows the floor is the fred flintstone model and everything else is bondo. If it isnt then thats something ive never seen. here in jersey almost everything is rust. have fun. when looking at distinguish between what you see and what he tells you. Read between the lies.
