Anybody else love em? You know, the type that have been used exclusively on a farm for the past 20 years with only minimal maintenance. The look and personality they have are just awesome to me.

As someone who grew up working on farms and driving said farm trucks no I hate them. They are pieces of crap, not because the make model or anything like that, its cause they never get fixed right, never run right, usually have almost no brakes, or brakes that quit working randomly and smell like manure typically.

No sir I do not like them, no sir not at all.

i'm never buying one of those mother****ers again. Who woulda guessed they dont EVER wash the bottom of those things. Who woulda guessed they have at least 3'' of caked mud EVERYWHERE. Sure as hell wasnt me. I cut the floor out thinking i would have no trouble reaching the bolts for the Adapter then, WRONG. I couldnt even see the TC or Transmission as somehow mud had managed to cake up on top a few inches thick as well. Fock farm trucks :doah: :haha:.

Although i have to admit that when i first saw it looked like a solid piece of Americana that had served many mornings to put food on the table for many. Definitley great rigs. I'm just a tad bit bitter because it took me 2 full days to pull a Transfercase :haha:.

Farm trucks are around my town EVERYWHERE. Beaters, nice, etc., you name it, this county has it.

I've bought my fair share of farm trucks and parted them out. Most were a PITA to get torn apart due to mud, oil, rust, etc. And most of them were worn out, too. Sloppy 465's, 205's, worn motors, etc.

I would buy another one any day. I can get them next to nothing around here when someone is willing to sell theirs.

A lot of that "mud" caked up under them is not mud. I know a guy that owns a dairy that had it caked up all underneath his new diesel. One day he was driving along and it caught on fire and burned to the ground. Cow manure is very flamable.

Fond memories of my youth...
Bullet hole in the bed (didn't see it in the scope when shooting that prairie dog)
Rusted out our non existent exhaust
Worn out shocks or broken all together
Carpet or padding ripped out to hose out the cab
Dents in body from livestock
And for some, the first vehicle we drove (besides tractors)

I love em! Bought a few for parts Ive needed, the bodies are always trashed but I have found some good tcases and multiple sets of 1 ton axles and gotten then cheap!

This is what mine looked like when I got it...all the farm truck goodies on it! That was a few years ago...looks different now.

All my trucks are farm trucks. I use them on the farm and take good care of them when not being them like a rented mule.

My 79 was a farm truck for a long time, and was actually in pretty decent shape until I got my hands on it.

Ive seen some farm trucks that look damn near brand new, and Ive seen some of the biggest piles you could imagine. Just depends on the owner.

Farm trucks doesn't have to be worn out beaters.
I use all of mine for farm duties as well.

Hate 'em... Drove too many of them around as a youngster...

They are almost always in varying stages of disrepair, they smell of manure, oats, hay, sweat, blood, and diesel fuel... And you can never get that smell out.

I left that life behind for a reason... I'll pass on the farm trucks, respectfully of course.

they do. just go sniff someone from nebraska...

( i say that with love as most of my family farms or runs trucks through eastern nebraska.)

My new K30 only has rust where I would guess the manure got under the floor mat. My gramps used to say that was the smell of money. I thought it was the smell of work.
