Farm trucks.

My new K30 only has rust where I would guess the manure got under the floor mat. My gramps used to say that was the smell of money. I thought it was the smell of work.
thats funny.
my great grandpa would say that whenever we passed a dairy. i always thought he was crazy.
but now i find myself enjoying the smell and saying it smells like money to my wife....who doesnt agree.lol :thumb: funny how **** works out (pun intended)

If I can get this thing running it will become my farm truck :waytogo:

This thread makes me chuckle.

All of my Plates say FARM TRUCK on them.

haha nice, Max. It looks quite a bit better.

Marty has lots of those kinds of pictures.

i don't want any part of another farm truck i bought one for a d60 which ended up needing everything, and the only other real good thing from it was the engine which was rebuilt. took 2 days and lots of cutoff wheels to strip everything i finally gave up trying to unbolt anything off of it

My first truck was a farm truck :D 1980 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd...

I tore that truck apart and re-assembled it from the frame up at least twice while I had it, and I'd still have .22 casings roll out from wherever during a panic stop or when driving down a rough road. That "farm" smell never went away either.... :haha:

Typical truck with a rotted out muffler, non-functioning brakes, absimal wiring, super sloppy tilt steering column and a poorly running 350 :doah:

lot of farm trucks around here as well. Can't say they'd be my first choice when looking for a project truck. Good for parts if you can see what they have. Most times just rot and rust and mud/****.

The look of the "ole farm truck" does harken back to a simpler time though.

Our farm truck, my rent's bought it new in 78. Its a 77 Camper Special w/454, 85 000 orig miles. We had the body done ten years ago, only thing that was rotted out was the fenders, rest was good and solid. Im just waiting till the key's are handed over to me!
