Eastbound and Down
My 96 3500 454/4L80 was 13.5 empty highway
My 99 2500 6.0/4L80 was 13.5 empty highway
The power wasn't even close though.

Yep. 16 around town 19-20 with cruise on the commute @ 75MPH. Closer to 21 if I set it at 6516 mpg out of 6.0? You got proof of that?
I can show you proof of 15mpg out of my 93 454.....
Pictures of chevelle?Yep. 16 around town 19-20 with cruise on the commute @ 75MPH. Closer to 21 if I set it at 65
I’m not arguing, I love my big block too. My Chevelle did mid tens when I was running it @ the track but 10 MPG in my experience is more like a good average for a normally driven big block Especially if there are performance added & a slight heavy foot. My last 6.0 got 385k miles without a tear down & I see the guy I sold it to is driving it every day. You are right about choosing what you want to do with your engine & making the right choice. I don’t need all that torque for my purposes.
I tend to drive with a heavy foot. I bet my wife has a much better average...I don’t swear by that little 6.0L but my experience has always been more abuse higher mileage & less issues but I’m not in need of 500lbs of torque anymoreI got 17 mpg highway hand calculated on a trip from Idaho to South Dakota in my wife's 6.2L awd yukon xl. Its at least a 5,500 lb pig. I don't even bother to calculate around town mileage. It takes premium too!
Are you going to buy aftermarket seats? or try to Buy original ones & have them redone? The problem is I am missing a few key componants. I need front and rear seats and the roof.
