I talked to him...he said he's not sure if he has any...which leaf is busted? If your main leaf is still intact, we got plenty of other leaves to make packs with. Gottta wait til we get off work and we can go out and see exaclty what we have. He is planning on heading up there Sat AM to get some boots, so you're in luck in that dept.
 
I would love to go but the spousal unit has made plans to go find a camp site for later on in AUG. Plus mine is stock it wheels ok but you know. I do have a winch if that is needed though maybe I can talk her into it. I will be free to go the weekend of 26-28 AUG I would love to have the new axles in by then but it is only money. Ya I have one of the MTRs. It has a sidewall cut but holds air and is good for a spare. I have since bought 5 37s so I do not need the 35.
 
I ain't plannin on gettin crazy...dodge is stock except the front locker. Can't afford to have too much fun, trying to get rid of it.

Those MTRs are tuff...he tore that sidewall on the guardrail at Devil's Canyon.


26-28 AUG - How's this sound to everyone else? My wife is going to Tex at some point to visit her fam so i'll have more freedom to help get brother's truck(s) ready, as well as some wrenching on the dogdge.
 
Ya My wife is going north to do this vineyard tour crap with her sisters so it will be just me and my daughter she loves going out in the truck.
 
im planning on a trip to wash twords end aug early sept- not shure yet. but if im here im game.
the helper (?) leaf (bottom) broke and one in middle been broke for long time. figured not good to wheel if 2 on same side busted.
except aug 6th im open and willing.
i did coral canyon mostly stock- had 35" mudders. did bust a front shackle though. was one that was on truck when i bought it. close inspection revealed it was a jeep tranny shackle :eek1:
depends on what trail we take, the worst one i found is a jeep trail and a little narrow so might get some brush marks
passengers are welcome
 
Well, can ya drive it? i'll meet you with a truckload of springs, and we can whip 'er into shape. or i guess my brother could drop me off and we could fix yer junk while he goes to get his booties.
 
it will drive and have another suv too. are u coming thru el cajon? i am right off the 8. maybe meet up here? shoot the !@#@ for a min and get some food and drink before the trail? flexable is my motto. so far i see us is there more joining? stock will make it :D :D
 
we're out east...1hr45mins from you...Andy has to go into el cajon for his boots...you and i could fix the springs while he does that, i'll prolly leave the dodge at buckman on the way in, then we can head back out that way and wheel.

anyone else? c'mon now...you know you want to :D
 
I would love to but I was informed that we are going to lake perris on Saturday. Keep me informed on the next time I am open the weekend of 27 Aug.
 
Well Roz and I went, had a blast. Technical difficulties at first but we made it work. Think I'm gonna hafta tear my front axle down tho...doh! We'll post pix in bit.
 
good to hear you had fun, sorry I couldn't make it. I will be going to work early this coming week in N.C./VA and will be gone for a couple of months. Maybe when I get back we can work on my hunk of junk David, and after that go tear it up.........................
 
Trust me the humidity over there is awful. Good thing about it is that when I get back I'll have a little $$$ to put plates and fix a few things on my POS........
 
it was fun...that little ford made for some good entertainment, and we cleaned up the trail for the TDS jeepers...reckon a jeep woulda had a little more trouble than my big fat CTD draggin' that thing out. Such a shame, some1 musta stolen gone joyriding and dumped it. How they got way back there is pretty impressive...thieves that can wheel cars!

Roz needed to use his fire extinguisher on his truck a little, but we fixed it :D I think I finished out my front axle, gonna hafta go thru it B4 I sell the dodge. I'll be riding along next few ride until I get Jeep goin again. Can't afford to tear up the dodge, trying to sell it. If my brother and I get his K10 goin tho, then we'll have some fun! Muhaha! Gonna hafta find some harder trails out there, and as soon as it cools down, y'all will hafta come down here...nothin' but wheelin' as far as the eye can see :D
 
Yuh-huh. Wander around my yahoo photo album...there's a lot to see. Lot's of eyefuls. Has anyone ever run In-Ko-Pah? Some good views, I think that and the Coyote Mntns above Painted Gorge are some of the best. Superstition has a ton of good wheeling. I like desert better than mntns cus you're not confined to on little trail so much.
