FarSoCal and AZ

There are companies that make plans to build buggies with bike engines...i lost all my faves when i got new comp sorry! I did have a bunch of links.

I would actually like it to have a seating position like a quad, so I would have to modify their designs a bit, but seems doable. I am thinking that maybe if I used the engine from a streeet bike that I could make a street legal quad..

This is actually the quad seating style I was thinking of...

Supposedl you can't make a quad street legal in California because they are designated off-road vehicles and can't be changed.

But I am thinking if I can use my street bike motor and compenents from small vehicles I could make a street legal quad. I am also considering a small diesel engine rather than the street bike motor because it might be better for a hybrid electric vehicle. I am not sure yet though..

lol thats funny, was just talking about this today. was thinking of using my 500(shaft drive) and some tiny car axles and make a mini-mini-cooper type. would be fun at least

just for street- a commute car. im not shure if there is a size limit for street legal though

was just a thought, adn would pay its self off fast in gas savings

i heard awhile back some euro car maker was experimenting with singel-person width cars...more lanes, most people commute 1 person to a car.

Hey guys just got back in town. If we are gonna go wheelin next weekend I will only be a rider with my daughter. On the trip back from Camp Pendelton I noticed that I have a pin hole leak on my radiator and my water pump shaft has about 1/4" of play. I can see the pulley moving all around when the engine is running. So until I can change the water pump and maybe get by with just checking the radiator frequently the K5 will be parked  Keep me informed.

Maybe we oughta have some wrench time instead of wheeling time. My brother and I will be up friday to pick up some 11.00 R16 michelin @ pendleton. I'm flying to texas at 12, back monday 8pm. Maybe bring my honda up and leave it with you, Don?

Well, guys what say ye about doing some wrenching/wheeling? Andy and I need to get busy on the K10, maybe couple days this week, but the way it's going, it'll be awhile. I'll be gone this weekend, prolly rest with the family the next...after that i'm open, unless something comes up with selling my truck. Can't wait til it cools off and y'all can come down and wrench/wheel here.

i cant wait for it to cool off either so u can work on my truck :haha:

u can go with me and take turns wheelin till ure jeeps up <blech> or get a real truck :D
