Yah, ya-know i've been meaning to bring up the jeep thing...i have a jeep, but i ain't a "jeeper" :D

Be happy to do the welding etc on your guys trucks when it cools off.
 
Well back when i was a kid i was saving for a chevy...my gpa was letting me drive his '53 M38...and i saw this CJ-7 for sale. I bought it, and only later discovered that i wasn't really into the jeep culture. I like the hardcore crawler stuff, but if you go to TDS, mostly you see jeeps with 33s, stock axles and two gas cans on the back. :rolleyes:

You guys go from 1/2 to one ton, i went from 1/4 to 1/2 ton with detroits in both ends(maybe 1 ton someday) ...

Diesel in Mexico is only 5.03 Pesos a liter. Depending on the exchange rate, it works out to $1.78 to $1.84 a gallon. I fill my 46 gal Transfer Flow and two 55 gal drums every trip down. Haven't had any problems crossing at Mexicali, Tecate or TJ. I figure I'm saving $1.25 x 150 Gals or $187.50 each trip. You're close enough.

EDIT I think Labor day weekend is weekend after this, no? SHouldn't we take advantage of the long weekend? Any plans anyone? Corral canyon? If Andy and I wokr out butts off we might get the Chevy ready.
 
OK WAIT A SEC- i have never seen that trail in the link. looks cool. now we have to go find it. i open to either day- how about the day its going to be raining <praying> :D

how about mon so i can rest and tinker on the truck sat? ok with everyone else? maybe make a real all-dayer. get ready sun pm, leave early am mon? might bring mel up to go to viejas, maybe dad's quad too. liz wanna go hang with mel?
 
I will have my daughter I can fit 3 more but I would be more comfy with only 2 in the back seat. Don will have room for 2 or 3 also. So far it is him and his son and me and my daughter.
