fascinating stuff:

Yep, they can be had from the dealer for ~$80 and include all new bolts. I put one on my '03 a few years back. Very nicely made....and factory engineered!

I just checked and that OE Dodge diff cover retails for $450+, it can be had online for +/- $365 - part # 68149259AC. Broke my heart LOL, I was gonna grab one if it was super cheap.

I didn't see any measurement of the amt of oil reaching the pinion with any of the covers.

This also makes me wonder, if I may have overfilled my diff. I rotated the pinion up significantly when I went to a double-cardan joint on the back and filled to the usual fill hole.

i would say probably not overfilled, mainly because with the pinion pointed up, you need more fluid to keep it lubricated, otherwise the pinion bearing will starve. Been there done that...fried a brand new pinion bearing after about 400 miles road trip (mostly highway so it got nice and hot for extended period of time) with fresh 5.13 gear swap years ago. so be very careful with oil levels when pinion is pointed up with a cv rear shaft. Hate to see the same thing happen to you.

Banks makes very good hard parts just overpriced. Their tuning is really weak and more overpriced. They def do the research into products but it’s all geared towards grandpa hauling his camper around.
For more actual performance there are a ton of better names. Anyone tuning with efi live will probably be a better choice on a newer truck.

Wow. I looked it up in my email, bought 9/15/16 on eBay for $87.21 shipped. Sorry, didn't mean to mislead!!!

I guess I got it before everybody realized they could overcharge!
