fast and loud C10 build leather interior

Yes and I agree it looks amazing. I think these shows over the last 5-10 years are just driving the prices up and up.

Interior and wheels are the two things that are just going through the roof in prices. Those Forgelines are about $1500 apiece and I was just quoted for a custom interior in my pro-touring car a starting price of $20 k for the interior, labor only.

I would build an interior from particle board and used street signs before I dropped $20k!!!! :eek1:

I think they ruined that poor truck...the leather dash was nice, but the rest of the build made me want to vomit...
I'm no purist, but I felt that truck deserved a frame off "stock" restoration....

I was floored. I expected somewhere around $8k as I can buy all reproduction of the factory stuff for $2k but when they said $20k minimum for labor and they have a six month waiting list I about died. I've talked to 3 shops now and they are all comparable.

The good news is that there are plenty of these trucks out there for everyone. You may have to start with a long bed and cut it down but a few times a year I drive cross country and see these trucks for $500. I paid less than $3k for 5 trucks about 10 years ago and they all ran with minor problems. One was. '64 with a 305v6, 3 were 68-72 short beds, and one was an 80's c20.

I thought it was a cool build since they kept the OE look. Not all shaved and chopped with fancy billet grilles and flames.

seat looks uncomfortable as h3ll to me...... neat looking.... but not comfy looking

I don't like the look of the seats, and I wish they went with the deep 73-74 grill. But otherwise, I would build one exactly the same way. I loved it!

Thats a later grill like 76. 73-75 are inset and smaller squares. At least in the pic above

The stance and wheels ruined it for me, I thought the truck itself was gorgeous,
But if was me, I'd have kept it at the factory height, and instead of those god-awful wheels, I'd have done either 14 inch Mags or plain steel wheels with baby moons, with something Wide Ovals or Polyglas GT's.

No matter how expensive that seat was, it's still ugly, and I don't believe for a second that it's any comfy-er than a factory cloth bench that still has all it's foam.

I agree on the stance. small drop or stock stance would be my preference.

but I'd use that interior on an all-out build any day.

it's just too damned stereotypical modern day "slammed to the ground as much as you can do" look for me...

it's disproportionate.... like 10' of lift and 35's... :dunno:

Didn't see the show but that thing is gorgeous

It looks a ton better at ride height, but I don't mind the stance when parked and dropped.
