fast and loud C10 build leather interior

I'm glad that it was a stock restoration pretty much as far as the body goes. I guess I'd prefer maybe a 2" drop front and rear, but I'm not the one writing the check either.

I do agree with Ryoken. The giant wheel, dragging the rockers look, just isn't right. Disproportionate is dead on.

It was a very cool and very well built truck. I like it. But love it of hate it, You have to respect the work that went into it though.

I think they ruined that poor truck...the leather dash was nice, but the rest of the build made me want to vomit...
I'm no purist, but I felt that truck deserved a frame off "stock" restoration....

I like how it turned out, with the exception of the parked slammed look.
I think you have to realize where they were taking the truck as well...to a cattlebarrons ball.....for them its all about different and one upmanship. A stock resto wouldn't have cut it (this didn't really either for what they were hoping for)

Thats a later grill like 76. 73-75 are inset and smaller squares. At least in the pic above

Right on Eric...

That truck is just dead sexy!

It looks a ton better at ride height, but I don't mind the stance when parked and dropped.

I knew you would be digging the draggin frame look Rene'!

Pneumatic jacks, like formula One cars!!!

Yeah...I have issues I guess.

I woulda preferred wide whites on 15" rims though, but I wasn't writing the checks for the build.

Ya but old money Texans aren't exactly the drag rockers type guys. I think that's why it didn't bring the money it was supposed to.

I was floored. I expected somewhere around $8k as I can buy all reproduction of the factory stuff for $2k but when they said $20k minimum for labor and they have a six month waiting list I about died. I've talked to 3 shops now and they are all comparable.

I think GMG got the shaft on paying that much for the interior because the shop knew who GMG was and knew they could make money off them so they just tossed out an obscene amount for the offer to do the job. And what was the end result? Richard being dumb enough to agree to it. Just my opinion.

I agree.

I like 2wd's in the slammed stances as long as the rest of the truck looks factory/stock, no shaved handles, etc. Oversized wheels don't bother me as long as they look proportionate and stylish to the truck.

Nice build, GMG. :waytogo:

I dunno, I like the seat. Looks like buckets for big fat guys. I'm pretty sure a lot of us are in that category, so they're probably pretty comfortable.

I pretty much dig that truck. I don't like the wheels and the grille and the color of the interior but I would rock it as is for a very long time

I think that truck looks great! My favorite part about it would be the color and they kept the factory chrome. :thumb:

how bout they decide to sponsor a TF car for 100K per race? Wow...10K per run to make a pass with one of those cars now. TV must pay pretty good to blow that kinda money.

I don't believe those numbers. But could you imagine if the car you sponsored blew the engine at the start line?!

I may be in the minority but I think it looks great- even the seat. I do wonder how comfortable that seat is, though. About the only thing I'd change would be the wheels. It needs something old school looking, but oversized, to go with the two-tone green and white. Maybe 17" white steel wheels, or if someone made 18" Keystones:dunno:

Air bag suspension.......don't like the slammed look? Just push a button or switch...

Yep, bagged FTW. Too low? Mash the button.

Fun side note, one of my cousins from Spain is on vacation in the US, and once he found out I was a "car guy" all he wanted to talk about was American hot rods and F&L/GMG. Once we got on the subject, the cell phones came out and we were swapping car pics. He has a sweet, restored, 1973 Mini Cooper and about sh!t when I told him my C/10 has a 7.4 liter engine:D

I liked the interior, both seats and dash. Dare to be different, I guess you could say.

How about this one:

Love a stock looking truck with no body modifications or additions sitting either lifted or slammed. And with aftermarket wheels, too.
