Favorite spark plugs

I run only Bosch Platinum +4's in the Burbs. They work fine from what I can tell. Never any issue with fouling or bad spark.

funny story,

I put AC Rapid Fires in my built Toyota 3.0L about 11 years ago and havent pulled them out since.

I was just "trying them" but they have worked good so i left them...11 years ago.

Dont know if i would buy them again for the same engine but what the heck, if it ait broke dont fix it.

I've been keeping an eye out for any quality loss in AC since their changeover but haven't seen any...

but I'm not sure what your talking about, or implying, about the plug being shorter... a plugs specs, are a plugs specs... a MR43T, is a MR43T....

about the mexico part or the shorter plug part? Plugs are labeled made in mexico, porcelin area does seem to be shorter than I recall, but not positive.

Pretty much ngk in everything weather the application is platnum, uridium or just the regular v power.

Oh except for german stuff. Bosch there.

thought id bump this...

i went to a speedshop.. and told him i needed plugs... he asked what heads... i said 1996 tahoe vortec steel heads.. he put a set of Autolite Racing plugs up there.. other than that all they had was Accel...
he said the autolites are what they run.. and work great.. @ $4 each!!!!!!!
i said yeah.. im shopping till end of month.. just getting how much as im paid by monthly (not lying bout that part)..

ill go to autozone and get the ac-delco's today...

autozone didnt have ac delco's for a 1996 chevy tahoe... so had to go with bosch dual platinum's... not complaining.. was going to try ac delco but always used bosch anyway....
they had ac delco rapid fire but for $4 each.. ill pass.. still had to pay $3 a plug for the bosch...

first do NOT run the bosch sh!t :doah:thay are only to be used in german junk. thay tend to make chevys skip and run crappy.

and he said vortec heads. not std chevy heads. that cr43ts wont work in 96-up votrec heads.

well they are in... so will use them for now.. I have ALWAYS ran bosch platinum... not dual platinum....
for the last.... as long as i can remember..

all i got was the plugs in... wires, cap and rotor later.... but already it is running soooo much better....

I just put Autolite platinums in my K5 as the old Bosch Platinums allowed my 406 to flood out leaving me stranded and embarrassed.

I use Autolite in almost everything, except my snowmobiles that get NGK. I hate dealing with plugs, I'm eventually going to all diesel around here.

You'll hate dealing with glow plugs even more--trust me!..wait till you get one thats swelled up and efuses to come out, then you'll wish you had a gas engine with spark plugs again..at least they dont have dinky 3/8" hex heads that rot off and 10mm threads that can strip or snap off in the head...
