Federal Couragia 37x12.50R17

Anyone try these? They are super cheap for a set on ebay. $775 delivered for 4. I usually don't like cheap tires but I run 2 rigs with 37's and was thinking about trying a set. Searched here but there was only one mention and it wasn't a review.

No personal experience but had a co worker buy them. Said he liked them.
Don't know anything else...he quit before I could ask him about long term mileage

I will never sell such a shitty tire. They come pre separated and do not balance or last. They are garbage. I have seen hundreds failed.

That's what I was worried about, bro dozer stuff made for the street and not lasting. Its getting hard to tell anymore, most tire production has been sent overseas. Lots of house brand type stuff coming from different factories. With all the production offshore it is hard to tell what you are buying now. Why would a China tire be worse than a Taiwan tire or anywhere else. Guess I will just buy another set of Interco, good or bad I at least know what I am getting, been running them for decades now.

All country tires I listed are owned by cooper if that’s a company you trust. I’m sure for the price the federals will work, same with the all country. I like them and I know what I paid for them so I will get my money out of them. Just don’t think you’re getting name brand performance or life for half the price.

All the bro trucks around here run them. I guess they spent all their money on wheels and can’t afford real tires.

FWIW my tires were that much too.

This is exactly the problem. A tire that you are having decent luck with that is absolutely meaningless to me. Never heard of an Ironman, no idea which factory they come out of. Its tough to try something new when its such a crapshoot now.

Just saw previous post. I have run generic coopers in the past, they worked out fine for what I use them for.

The iron man tires have not been doing well in my experience with vibes. Cant balance em all.

Mine balanced perfectly on my methods and run smooth. But again cheap tires are low quality control so maybe I got lucky

Here we go, thanks for your responses. One guy who likes ironman, another who doesn't. The problem is you are probably both right. Quality control sucks so bad anymore that you can't count on getting a set that will actually balance. Its a gamble on almost anything.

I will also say that I have been around alot of things to fix other people's problems. All of the iron mans I've seen weren't very round. All of the federals I have seen were complete shit.

Mastercraft seems to be an ok off brand tire. Radar is another that is very not bad. Bro truck looks though.

Anyone who wants to pay a little more and get alot more gets toyo rt tires here. They are phenomenal down in south texas.

Even the "good" brand names are kind of meaningless now. Used to like BFG, then my local tire guy says they have changed compounds and moved production. My friend ran a set out on a jeep in like 20,000 miles. Not so good for a brand name but he bought another set anyway.

Yeah, toyos get good chatter about them, people like nittos too. I just don't know anyone who has ever bought any. As an old school guy they are just another new name.

Nitto and toyo are the cats ass right now. Industry leader in ten ply truck tires in large sizing. My dodge weighs over 10k and I have 25k on the rt now with excellent tread wear. The last set of nitto trail grappler got over 50k on that truck. Sold em with plenty of tread left for 400.
My 91 has the toyo rt also but they are super new. That truck cant even spin em if I wanted.

Nitto and toyo are the same parent company. Very similar carcass and compounding properties so both are right up there in comparison.

Bfg has changed alot with the ko and should see many less delamination issues now that they are more like the new michelins in construction.

Have Toyos on my truck on second set , no problems have a set on the wife’s Tahoe, and they are what we put on all the trucks at work that we lift if rotated properly and the truck is kept aligned we see them last about 55k.

These tires suck. Get Nittos or Toyos like @obijuan said.

I sell a metric shit ton of BFG's, but they don't have the pressure rating like the Nittos do. Ridge Grapplers are my second most popular tire, and I sell probably 6 or 8 sets a month.
