Just a feeler to see what I should list it as. Please only PM price opinions as this is not a for sale thread. When I get a general consensus of the price to start at, I will post it in the classifieds.

Sad day, but without getting into the details I'm forced to part with the GRINCH!!!

Remember please PM me with the prices. Thanks Brothers :thumb:

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that you are put in the position of needing to sell. I've looked up from my desk at your pic on the calendar 10 times today and thought about how awesome it is. This is one of the rigs/ builds that has helped me with my own build so much.

I have no clue on a price, but I'd say that it's worth a lot with the parts and time that you have in the rig. I know, I know, you don't get paid for your time, but hell, look at the rig, it didn't just fall together with those parts.

NO WAY! This just makes me sad man. I'm sorry for whatever is going on that's causing this.

Thanks everyone.. It was a hard decision to make but I have to. I will be like the rest of the lounge rats for a while.

Great combination for everything except, why this :dunno:

Without getting into a huge debate.....

1. I had it from the 90K5 I rolled
2. Already had Superior axles shafts in it
3. Already had disk brakes
4. Lighter
5. More ground clearance
6. Huge bearings , huge 33 spline axles . If your scared of losing an axle run a disc brake setup to keep the broken axle in the tube
7. Never planned on going above a 37" tire

14 bolt SF 6-lug & 14 bolt SF 8-lug (No different except for the lug count)
Ring Gear: 9.5"
OE Spline Count: 33
Shaft Diameter: 1.37"
OE Yield Torque: 6,828.4 lbs-ft

14 bolt FF 8-lug (The regular 1-ton rearend, not the newer 11.5" behemoth)
Ring Gear: 10.5"
OE Spline Count: 30
Shaft Diameter: 1.50"
OE Yield Torque: 8,966.2 lbs-ft

Sorry to hear you have to sell it.

Look at the bright side, at least you have the incredible timing of free advertising in the calendar this month.

Thanks for the suggestions. I started it a little lower than most suggested. I need to move it..

It's now in the Complete Vehicles classified section.

I wasn't trying to start a debate, I am still running sf axles and not going beyond 37" either but I don't have a D60, I figured you bought the D60, most will come with the 14bff, that is why I asked.
SOrry to hear you have to sell, I am selling lots of mine too but I have plenty so I don't feel bad.:doah:

This would have sufficed.

you aren't getting out of the first gen business all together are you?!?!? just a temporary issue before you dive back in on another, yes?

At this point I'm not sure. More baggage with the reasons than a bellhop can carry. I'm sure I will be doing some type of off roading or racing at a much later date. I have enough friends that do it all the time so there is always that second seat.

Dennis,

Good luck with the sale... I hope you get your asking price on this one.

The hard part is going to be finding a buyer with enough cash to come through, since the odds of getting bank financing for this kind of vehicle is probably next to impossible.

Sadly, it seems like every modified K5 ends up worth more in parted-out than it does as a complete truck. I'm sure if you added up the receipts (which I never advocate! :doah:) this truck is already priced at pennies on the dollar for what it cost you to build.

Thanks Greg,

You are 100% correct.. I thought about parting it out. I also have considered pulling the Cad Motor and Trans and leaving everything else and put a rebuilt 350 with a carb and some sort of trans in it and lower the price on it. Not sure if it is worth the work and added expense of the $$$ I don't have.

I'm going to give it another week or so here and then off to EBAY with a reserve price and see what happens.

"Pennies on the dollar" isn't that the truth. I have my asking price in my axles and tires alone. Not that I really know how much is in it...
