The sun visor helps, like the afternoon i bought my truck and had to drive 3 hours home with no visors inside the truck and the sun in my eyes the whole time, yea it helps...

It makes me sad to see cowl hoods on something like a 1st Gen Camaro too.... the car has such a beautiful, classic profile, and the cowl hood (no matter how necessary) ruins the look.
Truer words have never been said:

Hijack over... ohh and I voted against the visor.:wink1:

If you go with a cowl hood, I would go no more than 2-3". Any more than that is too much. Normally I wouldn't recommend a cowl hood, but since you're going to be running more HP than 98% of the people on the road, you have the right to make your truck look however you want. The Glass stuff can take longer to make fit right, but weighs quite a bit less. Have you looked into Glass Fenders as well? The weight savings is nice, and many of them have larger openings to accommodate larger tires with less lift. If you add up the weight savings that glass, aluminum heads and accessories, and moving your batteries to the bed offer it is significant, even with a winch up front.

I have never seen a pole so even. Comes down to what chrisblazzer89 said now. Make it yours. Personalize it to show who you are and what you like. But I like others oppinions as well.

Okay,

I'm feelin' retro again. I dunno. Just been a little down lately I guess. Anyway, I was thinkin' about either a Lund Sunvisor or a MoonVisor for my 83 K10. I think they are kinda neat, add some pizazz, and are not difficult to install. What do y'all think?

Hang a pair of fuzzy dice from your rear view mirror and call it a day :D !!

I'd go with the 2"-3" hood. The one that looks like the cool, classic lines of the '69 Camero SS :bow::bow:

If you like the look of the cowl induction hood, put it on, but as for if it will help or not.....NO IT WILL NOT, except on the hiway. For the cowl induction hood to pull air in like it was/is designed to do, you need to be going about 45MPH or faster....so at trail speeds, it just LOOKS cool, doesn't really help cool though.
As to the Visor....toss up, if you like it , add it....I have thought about one for my suburban, but deceided against it due to the branch rippin it off factor when wheeling.....
