To all my fellow ck5ers let me start out by saying that I understand that we all face struggles everyday and I have no intention of imposing on any of you!

My wife was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer early this year, she is no longer working and we have become a single income house hold, this has imposed a great struggle on us as a young couple trying to start a family and our life together.
If any of you are in a position to help us no matter how small means more than you will ever know.
We are not looking for a hand out but a hand up! Again I cannot stress enough how much the support means to us!
Thank you all for you consideration, I hope for the best for all of you.

EDIT: if you do donate please make some note of being ck5 members, it's just hard to decipher where it's coming from since I don't know you by name.
I want to thank you all again, the support shown has been wonderful and uber appreciated!

My wife is a ovarian cancer survivor, she had a 12lb tumor that grew in a month when we were 13. It was a ultra rare cancer as well, so rare that since they've started documenting they've seen 1 case a year, all over the age of 40. Last I knew she's one the only one survived, miracles happen.

Keep your head up, trust the doctors and stay positive, prayers are with you.

trust the doctors
But never go against your gut... If you think it isn't right get another opinion. Don't let the doctors push you into something you guys are not comfortable with. MY wife is a cancer "survivor" and the most important lesson I learned is that you have to be your own advocate.

Best wishes

That is good to hear! My wife's tumor wasn't quite that large, but it was large enough to fill a one litre container.
I am so greatful that she has a wonderful positive attitude about her situation, I feel that it makes a huge difference. And thank you for the words of wisdom it nice to be able to connect with people that are or have been in a similar situation.

Jesus, a 12lb tumor in her ovarian area is larger than a huge baby. She must have been hurting bad, and thats an understatement.

Yea, they were convinced she was pregnant, tried explaining the fact it was impossible unless Jesus himself came down and did it. But very uncomfortable for a thin young girl.

It was a very aggressive, very fast growing. It ended up being three different types of a cancer. It had teeth, hair, Brain tissue you name it. It ended up being sent off to a medical school to be studied. They cut her from below her wait line to her chest to get it out.

If something sounds weird or off, question it, learn and understand what's happening, talk with the nurses, the more you learn and understand the better.

A postive attitude is the best thing, happy to her she is doing good. The nurses that treated my wife left such a impact in her life that she made it her career. has her Bsn, runs a floor etc. But her doctor and nurses are absolutely the reason she is alive

eesh, I'm in a trainwreck right now, but as soon as I can do something, I will hit that up... good juju coming her way too...

Attitude is important in this fight. Prayers sent....

Thank you both, though this has been a trajedy for us it has been very eye opening, life is taken for granted all too often.
The fact that so many (let's be honest complete strangers) have given such generosity, support, prayers and words of wisdom has been uplifting.
My wife and myself are very greatful for everything sent our way. Much love ck5ers thank you all.

Sent some money your way. Hope things work out. My wife was diagnosed with cancer when she was 18, six months after we got married. This August will make 20 years that she has been in remission. We now have 10 year old twins, had to do IVF to have them but was well worth it.

Wow that's almost Erie my wife is 19 and we just got married in July, we thank-you for your generosity it is very much appreciated!

My former mother in law is battling cancer now, a Pastor friend of mine lost his first Bride to breast cancer, my Bride lost both of her grandmothers to it as well.

I'm in the same boat as Paul, will send something as soon as we can.
