I need to win lotto, buy a larger capacity trailer for the semi and take a trip. Been trying to figure how I'm gonna make a trip up there for just the junk yards. But between the complete clean 73-87's and the first gen cummins, I'd like to get everything I see!

It's a smorgasbord right now. I get the feeling that stuff is going to start getting hard to come by over the next 10 years.

you're not kidding! We have pretty clean stuff in colorado rust wise. But they're usually beat to sh*t! I went to seattle once and drove to portland all before moving to colorado. That was the 2nd choice destination. Like mentioned, I'd still like to spend a month there making some purchases when finances allow me to. I may look you up for some assistance on where to go for what!

I really like the 87 3/7 ton!

All of them are nice...you just don't see them around here any more.

I remember the last time I drove through Washington/Oregon seemed like there was a lifted shortbox on every corner!

I miss driving through to states so many cool old trucks and cars to drool over.

It's been 15+ years since I've seen any square body trucks around here that "decent"(not counting car shows or cruise nights)...even the multi-colored ones pictured that still need cosmetics are much nicer than most you'll find here...anything looking like the blue or maroon one will set you back 6K around here, and it would be a good bet it was driven here from elsewhere ,to be re-sold at 2-3 times what they gave for it...(and we'd consider it worth it!)..

I'd be all over that turquoise '76 GMC for that price!..only thing that would be better is if it were a standard trans..what a deal!. I would ditch both my trucks and buy that one if it were local!..

Here I guess a few dealers are starting to haul some classics back here from vegas and CA...here is a few they are offering on CL...

The purple truck is from MA,look what they want 4K for...I'd rather spend two more and get a "desert" truck!..http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/cto/4782353295.html

Actually,I never even looked at that!..
I could care less about dual tanks, when I cant afford to fill ONE up !..
I never go far from home either...

I was looking more for RUST and dents than anything!..:doah:

My comment was directed at Mitch. He seems to be picking trucks with passenger-side tanks.

It's en extreme rarity for me to find a truck that only has one tank.

Really? That is certainly not the case in my region. Seems like dual-tank trucks are one in fifty here (maybe less). I enjoy having the extra tank, but it's pretty lonely in the dual-tank club...

I don't remember seeing a solo tank in a truck. All mine have been dual.

There are a lot of them out there. Base models and all CUCVs were single tanks. My dad ordered a 1978 K30 cab/chassis with a single tank.
