Fill your fuel tanks up now.

there were some gas stations in Leavenworth, KS that jumped up to 5 for low, 6 for mid and 7 for premium. They ended up getting fined for it but i guess they had it up that high for awhile today.

2.79 on base today though, sure it's higher now!

and i thought i had replied to this post earlier ???? :dunno:

anyway. in 81/82 if the price were compared to today's economy.... it was $80/barrel oil... and we survived and were happy... I personally think the economy is good enough to "bounce back" like it did back then. similar pattern in prices (not sure about nature...) so do not get too concerned. ;)

fyi, price per barrel is goin down, we opened up more of our reserves. i just went and looked at the gas prices, (i can see the station from my house) 3.11, thats .42 in 1 day. this is ridiculous

how long do you think its going to take our economy to recover paying these kinds of prices? "i cant go shopping, i got to have money to get to work" it is almost to the point wher i can stay home and make more moneythen go to work its costing me so damn much. and i bought something that gets better mileage just because of gas prices

wellll my k5 is gonna be parked once i burn up this 279 a gallon tank... and now my mom parked her burban,, and is gonna drive the 78 chevette we have... and im in the caviler...:(

I've heard sept 1 is supposed to be some kind of don't-buy-gas-day protest?

Sounds good to me...hope it works.

Bush said the Pentagon, as well, was contributing to the rescue and relief operations, and said he had instructed Energy Secretary Sam Bodman to work with refineries to "alleviate any shortage through loans."

We should be shipping oil from the middle east.. at no cost!

Bought and paid for with the blood of our U.S. soldiers.

Your right..

We had a poster on the wall at one parts store I worked at--it had a picture of Saddam Hussein, and under it it said:

"KICK HIS ASS,--AND TAKE HIS GAS!".. :waytogo: --too bad we only did HALF the job... :surepal: :mad1: ...

I read online gas in Iraq is selling for the U.S. equvilant of FIVE CENTS a gallon! :angry1: :angry1: --nice we can go save their asses, with the blood of our souldiers, and we cant even get one gallon of gas for our military vehicles, never mind our own..they OWE US!...might as well have let Kuwait and all its wells BURN...for all the good it did US..

It's about $3.10 here in Ohio. Premium (93 octane) has always been 20 cents higher per gallon. On the front page of teh local paper, it has a picture of a local station charging 3.09 for regular, and over $4.00 for premium. :eek1:

The car I drive to work most days requires premium.............the engine I'm building for my off road truck will require premium........hopefully things will stabilize in the near future......won't be able to afford to wheel as often as I'm used to with these prices.........

$3.10 now by me for regular...

however I dont have any car payments and drive a camaro. This gets 24mpg...

however I have been thinking.... I will go through $240 a month in gas....

so im debating on buying a suzuki dz-r400e dual sport.... $95 month and would spend $110 in gas..... yeah from a car to a bike... but since I am paying that anyway might as well ride it and end up with a free bike... small price to pay... also if it is bad out via weather.. jump in the camaro....
just gotta run it by the wife... plus can take it off road LEGALLY!!!!! :haha:
