Finally decided I had to get me one of these here build threads.

Well another update, talked to Lokar yesterday about the problem I was having with the shifter kit, and they do have longer cables but am having to possibly get a 10ft freaking cable because the sizes jump from 7ft to 10ft ., and otherwise would have to get a custom one made by them.

So I continue talking with the tech guy asking him about the kit and turns out that the kit is only made for steering columns with a shift arm that is 3" long...hmm mine is a bit short, at around 2.5" center to center, but was able to mount it with a little persuasion.

So you can see that the swing of the arm will not equal the swing of the arm on the transmission, requiring an extra x length to get into 1st gear(last gear in the shifting sequence).

So now it looks like I am going to try getting the long ass 10ft cable from Lokar and make the kit work. I guess if I have to, I can mod the arm on the transmission for a shorter swing as well.

Waiting for the cable to come in the mail currently, got it sent off Wednesday morning. Also fighting a nasty bug that I came down with last night, might be the flu:(. Another good wrenching weekend bites the dust...

Well over my sickness episode, got my air compressor running semi decent, still would like to tweak pulley size though for more air output. Got the longer cable from Lokar last week as well.

Still not having much time though with school and all. Just not enough time in the day to do everything I would like to do. Pretty frustrating, it seems my tests are spread out just enough to make it necessary to study all week and usually through the weekend.:(

On top of that my landlord isnt happy about the two trucks I have sitting so it looks like I will either have to get rid of one of them soon, or get my ass in gear and get rid of what I am not keeping. Cant wait to get out of school, get out of this town, up to Dallas and into my own place. Oh well, to the top hopefully will get some work done this weekend instead of studying for chemistry.
