Finally done ( besides paint in 2 weeks ) My 91 burb, I will list and include pics of some of the things that I have done to it.
Cam, intake, bored intake to 2 inches to take a 454 throttle body for 383 stroker motor. Dynomax ceramic headers and dual exhaust. TBI chip, fuel pump
March underdrive pullys
Windstar dual electric fans.
Skyjacker 8in. spring lift
Front hidden winch.
37in. MT/BFGs on 17x10 Weld Velocity 6
Headlight upgrade with relays off the alternator.
Custom made 3in. SS nurf bars
Tre Performance fuel pump

The Weld wheels are the ones that I got at 75% discount from 4 wheel parts. I am goint to paint it all light blue, the color that is at the bottom of the doors that hasn't actually faded yet like the top half.

all I can say if you have one of the cleanest burbs or chevys for that matter! It was nice meeting you and getting to drool, anytime you need someone to take your cars for a spin while your gone just let me know...lol

Thanks for the nice replys. The undredrive pullys are a smaller one on the crank and a little bigger one on the alternator. It's supposed to let the accessories turn less each crank revolution and not use as much power. Says it frees up 15hp. Might be bull$hit but I bought them.

under drive pulleys do increase horsepower and torque by reducing parasitic draw off the engine. 15hp is probably pretty optimistic, your results may vary...
 
Wow! super nice burb. Looks like you dont wheel it at all, thats good, it's too clean to beat up.
 
I bought the blue burb here in arizona. I brought the white 81 burb with me from Ohio, it was getting kind of rusty and the drive train has over 250K miles on it. It has a 383 cu. in. stroker motor that was built for me by Johnsons Racing engines in Columbus Oh. The blue burb had 138k miles on it and it had a stock 350cu.in. I decided to swap motors but I installed the Edelbrock TBI cam first in the 383 so I could break it in. Then I pulled the motor.
Thanks to my girlfriends son who was staying with us for a couple weeks, cause I wouldn't of been able to pull the motor by myself, not with the angled driveway.

This is what the blue burb engine compartment looked like when I bought it. It was well taken care of (mechanically ) but needed a lot of cleaning and painting.
Next step was to pull the motor.

LOOK at all the help I had this time :wink1: I had BEER.
You can see the angle of the driveway in the last pic.
Plus every nite the truck had to look like it was driveable cause I live where there is a EFFIN HOA.

Next it was time to climb in there and do some cleaning, painting and rewiring so I could take the coil, map sensor, and egr solenoid and move them to the firewall and not have them cluttering up the Edelbrock aluminum TBI intake. I also used all new wire loom to cover all the wires. It took 2 days to do that. I also replaced the tranny front seal and installed a 200 rpm higher stall torque converter that I got from Monster transmissions.

Tranny cooler went in next so it was easy to run the braided stainless lines along the inside the frame. Ran the lines to the radiator first then thru cooler. Temp sensor went in return line at the tranny for the Cyberdyne digital temp gage. Lines and fittings are Jegs brand.

I wanted to flow as much air and fuel that I can with the 454 throttlebody which has 2 in. bores that was going on the 383. I bought the Edelbrock TBI intake and it had 1 11/16 in. intake bores. I decided to bore them out to 2 in. I got a piece of 1/4 in. thick aluminum plate I had laying around to use as a guide to hold the 2 in. hole saw in place while I drill the intake. I laid the gasket on the plate and traced the 3 hold down holes and the 2 intake holes. I drilled the 3 hold down holes to 3/8 and the intake holes to 2 inch with the hole saw. Then I removed the pilot drill from the hole saw. Bolted that plate to the top of the intake and then used the hole saw and took my time drilling the holes to 2 in. Used a flapper wheel to smooth out the bored holes and blew it out with the compressor and I was ready to go. Now it's gasket matched.

It also makes the engine cool less, the A/C cool less, the alternator charge less and give the power steering less fluid. These make great sense on a high-revving engine (I'm sure their 15hp figure is based on like 6800 rpm). Yours is a stroker, no? Let us know how it works out for you.

Burb looks great. I don't see why it needs paint. Is it just the standard clear-coat peeling issue?
