finally finished- starting 60!

plain jane half ton front calipers i had here, and 8 lug rotors from a k20. i used later model stuff on the calipers so i could use stock front soft lines.
 
started teardown today!!

thanks! im thinkin im gonna go with a lockright or some lunchbox type. the gears are already good to go so no detroit.
 
You might want to get a 2lb. residual valve for those rear discs. Normally drum brakes use 10lb valves. Just a thought.

A residual valve, it's what keeps the brake pads close to the rotor so the brake pedal travel is minimal. If your using the stock proportion valve, it's probably pushing the pads into the rotors more than what you would need. I think that's why they are getting hot and lock up easily.
