Got this on trade from Crazyorigin for a dually that had. I only paid $300 for the dually, so I got this real clean NC truck for $300!!! Only rust on it is the cab corner, which isn't even that bad, little on the rockers and some on the kickpanel. Runs and drives, Chris was driving it when we made the deal. Only thing I noticed with the truck is both rear shocks were loose at the frame. Carb needs a little work, but got another one to put on, so not even worried bout it. Interior is rather trashed, but not concerned bout that either, still enough of these trucks in yards to get parts off of.

Right now it has a 305, 700 tranny and 208 t-case. Swapped the rear out for a 14ff with 4.10s, did a 2.5" shackle flip and some 4" blocks.

Front is gonna be a big hub Dana 44 with a Tracklok/4.10s that I got from a Rodeo rear axle. Front has BDS 6" springs.

Tires are 35" boggers on 16.5x12" Barts, don't like chrome, but for $175 not gonna bitch.

I need to get longer front brake lines, waiting on the steering arm from Jay (twosloforfive0) and for now figure out the front driveshaft, it's not long enough. Eventually gonna put a 4-speed/205 in it, so might wait till then.

Not the ones that I got from you!! Bought a whole bunch of stuff off Sleddog last year. ORU SAS kit and crossover knuckle, front BDS 6" springs, rear 63" springs, 4" IIRC and 4" blocks. Sold the ORU kit and knuckle for what I paid for all of it....

Got the truck on the road, changed the front grille and headlight buckets over, got some new interior pieces, ghetto shocks for now.

Need to swap the 10 bolt out of a Dana 44HD, get a square tube front driveshaft then I can actually wheel it....

The 44 HD's have the external lockout hubs, where some 3/4 tons use the same lockout as 1/2 tons use. I think the only difference is in those hubs, some say the tubes are thicker.

The spindle, wheel hub and lockouts are the only difference. HD's have bigger inner wheel bearing, outer is the same. I think these look cooler than every day 1/2 and 3/4 ton lockouts....

The "RTI" ramp is at my buddy's house. Surprised it went that far up as stiff as the front springs are. Could have gone farther but the rear tire hit the wall.

Just glad I'm getting close to going wheelin'....

ya they look stronger so thats a 1 ton axle

No, it's not really any stronger and by no means a "1 ton axle".....they are just physically bigger. Most people will say the "smaller" internal style lockout hubs are stronger.

To each their own, but no way I would personally swap out the existing 10-bolt for a Dana 44 unless it was to get better and/or matching gears like the rear axle.

I was gonna swap in a HP60 since i now have 2, but with only 35s, kinda overkill what I do with the truck.

I'm swapping the 10 bolt out so the gears will match, swapped in a 14ff with 4.10s, the stock 10 bolt has killer 2.73s in it....

Biggest issues with the external hubs is making sure the bolts stay tight. On one side all but one bolt was broke, the bolts are 3/8" IIRC.

If your not sure what axle run, go with the 60 anyways, least this way you know it will stronger than a 10 bolt/Dana 44.

I might later on, right now just want to get it going. Then I might sell it for some tires for my crew cab....
