I want to find new OEM stock - one of these specialty vendors for classic chevys has to have one. Anyone have ideas where I should check?

On my K5 the shaft the clutch and brake pedals are attached to is 'wollard-out' for lack of a better term. It looks like the teflon bushings were worn out when I got my K5 back in '93 and since then the cross bolt wore into the shaft. The bolt is fine but the assembly pivot shaft is nearly worn through on one side.

I saw a youtube post somewhere that shows a guy fix it with a full length bronze (some threads say brass but this thread explains it should be bronze for bushings) sleeve that replaces the bushings; I can't find it again. Regardless, I don't have the facilities to do that type of work. There are a few short ck5 discussions on this
  • short discussion on the bronze sleeve
  • a little longer discussion on the bronze sleeve in reference to fixing the now oblong sleeve.
  • more bushing discussion here and here
  • pedal 'pivot arm' discussion with a parts source! Thirteen year old post, what are the odds Bill still has these in stock "Chevrolet in Nebraska. Talk to Bill in parts. 800-525-1691 ext 538"
  • worn clutch pivot arm and description of classic symptoms - pedal gets stuck when pressed down, loose pedal side to side movement, pivot rubs against housing, clutch pedal contacts ebrake pedal, noisy pedal (squeak), rattling noise, etc.
  • a longer thread with a few posts on the pedal assembly but it focuses on the hydraulic clutch and the thread goes to shit on page 4.

This post on chevyK5blazer has an image of the assembly - I don't need the whole thing, just the brake pedal and the clutch nub part.

What I need are those two pedals on the left of this image, one is the clutch and the other is the brake. I can't recall if my brake pivot is warn too but the clutch definitely is. The rest of this stuff I don't need.

Just to round it out, here are three I found on ebay - hopefully these links stay good, it is about $150 for the entire assembly and no guarantee these are not wollard out as well. I hate to buy the entire assembly so I can gut it for one part; these are decent assemblies. I guess if they are wallard I can send it out to a machine shop without having to park my truck during the repair. Then put mine back in the assembly and resell the entire thing (of course noting the damage on mine when reselling).
I looked in a few of the online parts houses without luck
Any help you can lend is appreciated - maybe you have a new OEM in packaging collecting dust in your garage and want to unload it.

73-84 is mechanical, 85+ will be hydraulic and different.

Also, the dash changed in 81 so it's worth check to see if the bracket the pedals hang from also changed that year.

If you have access to a welder, you can build that back up with small tacks. then file it round again, it's what I did to mine 2-3 years ago and it works well.
Might be some pictures in my build thread.

I like that idea since I hate to throw out parts or have parts I am 'going to do something with' laying around. I do 90% of my work in my father-in-law's driveway and he has a welder as well as the round files. He loves projects like this and will probably jump at the chance to weld something (plus convince me to fill his tanks - always empty when I need something done). Shoot the shit while I file away. This is something where I can pull the part, fab, and reinstall in the same day.

What are the dimensions of the nylon bushings? I have not looked online and in a pinch I can buy a set and get the dimensions.

Has anyone found bronze bushings and where did you get them?

I sent a request for the brake and clutch pedals to the Chevy dealership parts dept. They have an online parts inquiry form. A few threads said they got OEM parts for their K5 from the GM Parts. Back in highschool I used to get hard to find parts from the parts counter, but that was '92 and they might still have had a few new '91 K5 blazers on the sales lot at that time. Who knows, maybe they have a few in stock still. If not, then it will be welding and filing.

A year later and I am looking for a clutch pedal - I find my own post on CK5.

There has to be an inventory of new OEM out there somewhere.

I guess in the past year I have gotten better at finding my parts; using the parts book I donwloaded from a member site on CK5 (thank you, don't recall your user name)

I found the part name and number:
clutch pedal arm 0.830
73-78 CK-1, 2, 3, Blazer, Jimmy
330113

I searched that part number as GM 330113

This site carries the old chevy OEM inventory (lady on phone says all their inventory is oem), https://www.gmpartsgiant.com

$115 and my pedal is on the way -- cost less than a used pedal assembly off ebay

***EDIT***
The rest of the clutch/brake pedal assembly, which are not as easy to find new OEM
  • Sleeve 4.634; GM 6264951 (found one on ebay and another on gmpartsgiant.com)
  • Bushing 4.626 (also 0.831); GM 342482A.R. (.33 BUSHING) (not available except aftermarket replacement parts)
  • LEVER ASM., Brake (PEDAL ASM., Brake); GM 347459 (not available)

I'm feeling your pain today, replacing the same on my '77 (which actually came off my '79). There's several NOS 330113 on the web and is how I found this thread. I had searched CK5 for clutch pedal etc, didn't see this thread until now.

What's the parts book you have?

Earlier, I had searched the gm link above. Stock is zero.
