Fire estinguisher mounting locations

I have one of the Element extinguishers in each of my rigs. Hopefully never need them. They are small, don’t need recharged, and last way longer than a regular stingisher!

I really liked these and (like you said) there's no need to recharge them. I was disappointed to see the Element sticks didn't do well in a YouTube video by Harry Wagner where he tested 3-4 types of extinguishers.

What's the minimum/overkill ratio to have on a rig?
Is it directly correlated to the number of front shocks on each side? 1 is standard, 2 was HD option from factory, 3+ is just for show (easy to say overkill until you run through 2 and wish you had another)

I haven’t seen that one yet. Gonna look now

I have two in the blazer. I will probably add a third behind the passenger seat. Maybe another in the engine bay and one under the body above the rear drive shaft. Two on top of the hard shell and maybe another 3 on the hood... all kidding aside.

I will most likely add a third, one for me on the trans tunnel, one behind my seat and then the third behind the passenger seat. I don't think I could really add much more inside the truck.

annual service/certification is cheap.

Where do you store them in your rigs?

I have one behind the driver seat and one mounted next to my 203 shifter on the trans tunnel for my Blazer. I've been thinking of adding another behind the rear seats as well for the Blazer.

The c10 has one under the passenger side of the bench seat. They're really limited options for the c10 but I have to have one so under the seat is the only spot. It's the same one I have for the blazer mounted on the transmission tunnel.

My K5 got one mounted like this after my first real wheeling trip. I realized it was a projectile just sitting in the back and was hard to reach. Bad combo. I had a second one in my toolbox that eventually got moved to a cage mount.
