First Big Assignment............assistance needed...........

Slider79blazer those are plastic shells that you can stick on top of the existing pad. You have to sand the corners down on some applications and the feel real "fake" compared to the O.E. I found these guys when I went to a Car Show in Sacramento. I have been using them for awhile now in restorations. In LMC the dash pad, O.E. pn# 38-8126, was $329.

Dont steal my truck..I dont need anymore worthless junk over my fireplace.

twizted is right.what id do is wipe it down w/ a rag wet not soaked w/ lacquer thinner.dont get it too wet,you just want to clean it.do it several times.then when you get ready to spray,do it again and follow right up w/ the dye.ALWAYS check in a hidden area to make sure it wont melt it.also check w/coverlay,they make "caps" to go over your dash.they might even come in color i dont remember.ive used the lac thinner thing alot, its hard to really tell you whatll be safe and whats not,as far as different materials go.vinyl like material(dashes arm rests etc)normally wont melt.ABS plastics,(like a 80s camaro dash face) will melt.in that case you can use rubbing alcohol to clean with, but check that too.and when you wipe it down expect to see some of the color come off, thats normal.get a good adhesion(sp) promoter also.ok class where do you test wipe?...........correct in a hidden area.j/k always test it tho, just to be safe.hope ive helped.

Well..Sharon, Pa. is on the Ohio-Pa. line near Niles,Warren,Youngstown. I'm in Austintown,Ohio..5 minutes from Paceparts...5 minutes North of Canfield, Ohio where we have the Hotrod SuperNationals and 4wheel drive jamboree. Thats wher Emmettology 101's pic was taken for blazer of the month. Also am 40 minutes east of Summit Racing.

"Why YES!..the Fast-lane was built just for YOU!! Because we all needed someone to drive slow and screw up traffic!!!!"

OK, I just called the dealer and they told me $620 for a new one. I tried the junkyard thing and cant find a good one. I don't want a cover unless I can't find one. Yes I do want to do other things first, but we are still looking for a dashpad. I have about every catalog that was mentioned so I know what the prices are, I just did not wan't to spend that much for one. Was hoping to find someone that has one used and in good shape. I think for Dad's day I might have her get my shackel flip or steering brace because I would rather get the rears and lift done first. Thanks everyone for your help.
