First Gen, all hardware no software

So I bought this '70 K5 and fell in the rabbit hole ever since. It was tired, a victim of someone's "perfume on a pig" restoration. Original 350/350.Paint is nice.
Ord output shaft bearing support and seal, high angle driveline flange. Anyone ever have trouble with this leaking new? I test fit the seal to flange and it felt right but of course I'm moving down the dreaded leak list.
Fortunately, no more oil leak (for the most part) but the damn trans dip still leaks... I wrapped the grommet with Teflon really thick n squeezed the dip back in but it's only better but still a mess

Playing with this th350 gov reprogram kit. Seems they only include (1) of each weight and there's two sides of the governor... Guess I'll start reading now

So the governor kit made it a little better. Still gotta tinker though. Guess I'm stuck on pavement only duty bc I almost lost the ol lady on a durty road with the body flex the passenger door keeps flying open... (need to start my cage) put a little more timing in to solve my stumble and that worked. Guess the degree markets were off. (shoulda degreed the cam)
At least I'm driving it though. Despite this pos Fitech that I'd really like to get rid of bc it won't ****in idle or return to idle and the butterflies stick in the throat. I really don't see any benefit over a good carb that's tuned.

Well you are at least making a little progress, and driving it some!
It looks like I will never buy Fitech, the more I hear about some problems from people.

I mean it performs OK. But it's not plug n play like what I hear about sniper etc.

We may be in biz! Held the tb down while loosening the nuts. Once loose cycled the throttle and held down lightly. The tb walked driver side until it moved freely. Once tight, the throttle sweep is smooth. I'm feelin pretty good about this so far! Unfortunately I'm squeezing my family time and wrenching time into one day so I'll have to shake her down Tuesday night after work. Finers crossed!

Ol girls allowed to get durty. Best part about mud on the engine:
What I thought was the pan leaking turns out to be the valley. I'm happy bc most square body guys don't know the joy of taking the cross member down from a first Gen lol. So I'll be pulling the intake.
Side note the throttle still sticks slightly but I think I still need to adjust it.
Romped pretty hard in the woods and highway a lot today. Victory. Videos to come if I can figure out how to post

Glad you got some seat time and things are improving. Nothing worse than having a truck you can’t drive

So I got a video scope from work to poke around the back of the valley and it appears to be around the tee I used for the oil pressure sender. Amazing how much oil you can lose there. Anyways I'm glad I don't have to pull the intake. And I can wash it now
