There are a few of us here that have fitech.
I have it and have enjoyed it. If your carb is matched for what you are running and has been tuned, it should be working great. If it hasn't the efi could get you some good improvements. But if you have anything that a carb could cover up such as vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, etc the efi could expose those issues.
If you do invest in fitech, don't go with their fuel command center, or any of their pumps for that matter. There are better options depending what route you were going to go.
I have been running my fitech since about June of 2016. After a software update in 2017 I've not had any problems from it.
The biggest positives of going from carb is how it performs off road and how easy it is to start up.
For the fuel delivery, I've been running a walbro inline pump the whole time and have yet to have an issue. It's quiet and it has worked fine crawling in traffic on 100° day. I haven't had problems that some will let you know about, but I would say I've only put about 3k miles on the fitech and 5k on the pump.
@skunked and
@72gmck5 could give you their opinions on it based on personal experiences as well.
