I have 2 np205's at home and both are slip yoke.
From the factory, did they mostly come in slip or fixed yoke? I am trying to sell a th350 and np205 but the guy isn't sure why they both have fixed. He has a magazine that says the np203 and np205 came with a fixed yoke?

After 79' most of the 205's except 1ton trucks were slip yoke

hmmm odd. Oh well, if he doesn't want it oh well.
He did put a $100 deposit on it though. So I think he is going to buy it

I'm pretty sure that from '80 on standard cabs used slip yokes while crew cabs used fixed yokes. Prior to '80 most, but not all, were fixed yoke.

Okay i sold the 350/205. I was asking 450, and i got 400 for it.
it didn't have the shifter, and it didn't have a fixed yoke, and he needed a fixed yoke, so I gave it to him for a bit cheaper. He was a really nice guy.
Found out he used to mud bog with a blown alcohol truck! He also owns a fabrication shop in town. So thats pretty neat.
Chatted for a bit then he left.
Anyways, got that out of my hair, now just need to sell everything els.e

You are 100% Correct. 1980 and newer is slip yoke excluding crew cabs, 1979 and prior are all Fixed.

All Dodge 205's are Fixed.

All Ford 250's are Fixed.

GM did some great things, Slip Yokes were not one of them.

I got the same combo with a fixed rear yoke for $400
Then I ended up selling them individually :smirk:

easy come, easy go..........

Any cab & chassis model is also fixed-yoke ;)
