My horn and interior lights worked mint when I first got my truck. Then my steering colum went south so I took the colum out of my '85 before I junked it and stuck it in. Now I keep on blowing my fuse. I know there must be a short some where in my colum where would I start??? How does the horn work does it just ground out to sound horn or what???????????????????
Thanks
Adam

hey man, my K5 did the same thing. your horn, radio and interior lights are all on a 20 amp fuse i think. the wire for my horns were grounding out on the frame, i have 2 horns (1 each side) the driver side wire was grounding out, causing everything to go fubar'd. check those wires and connections to the back of the horn itself.

If you had the column apart I would check for a pinched or chaffed wire in the column. Mine did the same thing and I tightened the tilt up and then I discovered that my cig lighter was shorted and that was what was causing the fuse to blow.
