I did put my 35-splines outers and flanges on my truck today and noticed that the outer is not held out so dirt will get in to my wheelbearings.
On my Jimmy I had a 3/4 ton front with flanges and there it was a spring outside of the wheelbearingnuts who held out the flange and the outers:thinking:
Is there someone with the same problem or someone who have a solution:confused:
The stuff I did put on the truck is Warn driveflangekit and Yukon 35-spline 4340 outers.

This could clear it up little and this was what I found when searching.
When the shafts move inwards it also allows dirt to get past the slinger (the butterfly looking seal) and get down to the spindle seal. The spindle seal seems to keep out dirt pretty well... but only with the help of the slinger that is installed on the shaft.
