Does this mean my alternator is bad? I just replaced my battery and this light keeps flashing and flickering. The truck almost feels like it's going to die. The light flashes constantly and never at a steady tempo.

Help guys. I need to drive this thing 100 miles tomorrow and I fear it will die and won't start.

Does it do it only when idling or even when driving at speed? If it only happens at idle it is just that the idle is too low for the alternator to charge. If it happens all the time then the alternator sounds like it is on it's way out and time for a new one.

It happens all the time now.

Could it be a bad ground? That's what a buddy of mine suggested.

I think I will remove the alternator tomorrow and have it tested. I'll have to save the transmission swap for another day and play it safe. :(

Make sure your belt is not slipping and all wires are bolted down tight.
