Been thinking about building a flat bed and would like some ideas (pictures, drawings, things to watch out for and consider, or just good explainations) Cant decide if I want to cut down the frame and make a short flat bed trail rig or build a full sized bed and make it a tow rig. Also, can anyone see any problems putting a '79 cab (2 wheel drive if that matters) on to a '75 frame (4wd)?

Thanks

Dan

You have got to PM 79flatbed...........did a great job on his diamond plate flatbed. Cassidy is also a great guy.

Yeah, I like that one too, Frizzy, that style would look killer on your rig.

Once I get a bender and some time Im gonna do one sorta like that but a little narrower in relation to the side of the cab /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

I have always's like Camo's set up over at PBB. There is a famous picture of hime rolling the truck. The truck is on it's second go over where he put the truck into a power slide on level ground. Here is a picture of it. I really like the bed boxes for your gear. The rear is a gate with the spare hanging on it. I happen to have a 74 K5 fram I could get if I wanted it. If I could get a cab and front clip I would seriously concider doing a build up like this for a rock basher.
