I picked up a dirt cheap 15K tandem axle trailer that needs a little TLC (new deck, wiring/lights, tires and jack)...only paid $150 for it :eek1:

Anyways, what I'm looking for is the ramp hookup area is not to my liking. I want to revamp it (make it stronger). Can people who have non-dovetailed trailers post up pics of the loading area of their trailers where the ramps connect for loading/unloading.

Why only non-dovetailed trailers? Are you prejudiced? Mines got a dovetail, but I'll put up a pic later, since that doesn't change the ramp connection on mine anyway.:D

Here are some pics of mine. Carson uses the same method dovetail or not. It's 1" solid bar welded to the four 4" channel stake pockets on the back. Angle iron on leading edge of ramp hooks over it and can slide for adjustment. One pic shows the notch I put in the angle to allow the ramp to slide all the way to the edge, but still rest on top of the pocket.:D

Anyone else have any pics of how their ramps hook up to the trailer on theirs?

I'll try to dig up some pics of mine. Mine are ugly but they work. Justed used 1x1 1/4" angle. Put the angle facing up then braced with more 1x1 1/4" pieces 10" apart all the way across.
