Flatbeds....

I like something like this. Since this isn't an off road truck you don't really need the kickups on the outside. You don't need to fit big tires at all. The under bed boxes on something like this are super handy to have.

I have always wanted to make a skeleton version of this pic with tube but still retain the utility of the actual bed. So some underbody boxes along with a bunch of tube I think it would look cool.

So basically make I like this flatbed if it was just a frame work with all the stuff it has attached

I'm definitely doing in front of tire, under bed storage.. no behind tho.. probably framed in tube with a diamond plate folddown door... I have some pretty good general ideas on how I want the whole bed.. obviously till i get truck in hand, they'll have to stay general ideas..

that thing is badarse looking... tho I'm basing mine in tube, I am going to try to incorporate some of the feel of what's going on in this one...

I'm thinking I'll probably go 1.75 on it, as opposed to the 2" and 1.5" I used thruout the K5...

I cant wait! Ill have to keep a look out for some good designs! Im going up to Loon Lake next week, so I should see some nice rigs with flatbeds at the trail head of the Rubicon and will post them up!

I have what I think is a totally badarse original idea for a tube utility bed-ish gig... it's just not gonna happen right away now..

I do have some more standard-ish square tube bed pics on the comp I'll try to load up later..

Thinking on a flatbed on a blazer frame with a stretched wheelbase for a wheeling rig. My blazer body is trashed. I just cant decide on a full size reg cab chevy or an ext cab square body style s10. I like the fullsize but always worried about trashing the body has me thinking of an exo cage on the fullsize body.

After doing the full-size Trazer thing, I could see where an S-10 cab would be more practical for off-roading. Should be easy enough to wire up too if you found a similar year cab. I went with a full size cab because it was easier to mount up and wire.
