hmmm, are you running 56's in the rear, 57's or 63's?

I scored some free 63's today, off a bran new chevy at a local dealership /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

but the work involed along with the gained axel wrap is detering me /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

can you say trac bar /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

I am considering just moving the front rear spring mount forward and calling it a day /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

To move the axle forward, The spring swap moves it 2" forward on its own. I also have the spring perches redrilled 1.25" back to move the axle forward again. I ran the redrilled perches in Moab last year with no problems so I decided to stay there. The tire gets real close to the firewall when its stuffed all the way and turned in. 42's might need some clearancing to work all of the way. So basically I am running 5.5" of lift total with full flex on the 40's.

did you change your cross over draglink at all after moving the axel forward or does it not matter? This seems to be my biggest concern. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

It doesn't matter. My axle is moved forward 1.5" and my drag link sure doesn't care.

I'm running crossover and it didnt care at all.

The rear is just the stock springs with a homemade shackle flip. I thought of longer springs and such but I decided to hold of on anything fancy untill I got around to linking it up.

I narrowed the front and the back, or tapered might be a better way to say it. Each corner went in 9.5". It doesnt sound like much but it sure looks like a lot.

So you got about 4.5" lift with stock rears in the front. Is that right?

Damn man I love your truck. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif If the cops give you a hard time for your tires sticking out, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to fab up some kind of bolt on fender that clips to the cage for while you are driving in town.
