flexing problem

I put dual 14" inchers of a jeep or something on mine, part stores have a hassle free wiring harness for around 25 bucks, some are even adjustable. But I havent had a shroud on mine for along time now and I havent had any problems with a 190 thermo

yea i was looking at that just now.... by the way what lift are you running on your k5

Well, you don't need to run a shroud when you're running electric fans...if they are mounted right up against the radiator.

just a few thoughts

1) I've normally seen problems working an engine at slow speeds with no shrouds, but can understand that maybe there is backpressure behind the radiator during freeway driving. Maybe something to do with the fan and air wanting to return through the radiator.:dunno:

2) No shroud needed for electric fans, like others have said. BUT the more area you can cover with a shroud, the better any fan will work. Period

3) If you are changing you motor mounts and body mounts, then you should more than likely replace your trans mount too. If these others are bad, ur trans mount is too, and can also affect (thought slightly) the degree the engine sits. Especially if it's broken and the rear driveshaft is trying to push it up, which is pushing your fan down. :dunno:

*I have limited knowledge, I just think a lot*:haha:
