Flow master!

I have the flowmaster 70 series on my 68 K10. Dual 2.5 in and single 3 out. It's dang near perfect. It is a bit "Large", but my exhaust guy says tone not drone.

Just put the Dynomax Super turbo 3" on my 1988 K5 and loved the sound. Just drove the rig 3100 miles from Calif to Alaska with my wife and neither of us noticed the exhaust at all.

Well my thrush hush mufflers showed up today. Look like the old turbo mufflers. Had them long time ago should be good.

this is 6 months and most of the winter with maybe 2k miles . . . . dam liquid de-icer mix they use now . bye bye flowmaster 50 delta flow 3" in/out you were to loud and droan hard in the cab and made my head hurt .

hello walker 21054 3" in/out and little longer was all . but same place and same exit place in front of l-r tire and WOW so much better and 65 bucks to my door off rock auto compared to the flowmaster at 110.00 off summit racing price .

i also was going to try a walker 21468 universal 3" in/out for like a big dump truck but figured it would be to loud since its 100% flow threw no inside baffle to make the gas flow threw the perforated baffle section . i got it for 63 bucks to my door from rock auto a few months ago . i can report tho the guys truck i put it on since his muffler was rusted out is super happy and loves it . he had a gibson huge round can muffler before and now this and he said its quieter inside and less droan and still performance sound outside . i will agree and if i had to have something like it again i would buy it and run it .

feedback from a real test drive to the local super market and back . . wow the truck is so nice to drive now and i am happy to drive it now . that flowmaster sucked on this truck & engine combo for sure .

Luckily my truck is only s summer vehicle. I’m sure the flowmaster exhaust would have fallen off by now if not. The rust belt sucks. Just had a fuel pump rot through on my silverado. Only 93,000 on the clock. I’m just glad it let loose in the driveway instead of down the highway. Hot exhaust at 70 down the road with the amount of spray coming off the pump, I may not have noticed in time to shut it down before I was a fireball.

Glad to hear that! I have yet to install mine, but I need to. Especially hearing how happy you are with it!

And before I swapped them I did alot of research. Pretty interesting what people say about flowmaster and how they perform. And how they compare on flow charts.

I haven't put any miles on my FM 50 series yet... But I actually like them.

Looks like I may have to find a way to coat/protect them..

But I don't mind driving with them. No highway time yet, but I haven't noticed any droning :dunno:.
Love the sound.

In my rumble bee they dumped under the center of the bed about a foot from the rear bumper. And unless I was deep in the skinny pedal I could easily talk without raising my voice while driving around town.

They're for sure louder than a normal turbo muffler though lol.
