Flushing trans cooling system

so my transmission has sh*t the bed. I have a replacement on the way, but I am wondering how to go about back flushing the trans cooling system. I was thinking of getting one of those weed killer sprayers and filling it with ATF. Then using my compressor at 15-20 psi, I would pressurize the tank and force it through the system. I feel that it would be sufficient to clean out my external cooler and the cooler inside of the transmission...any thoughts or suggestions?
 
Most trans rebuilding places will give you a aerosol can of flush to do just that. If you don't, they won't honor the warranty.

The warranty information pamphlet states that they will not honor a warranty claim if you do a can flush method...also I'm going to plumb in a remote trans filter, JIC
 
I used this then blew compressed air threw the line just dont forget saftey glass's
 
Used the Kooler Kleen that Sweet posted up multi times works Great and my rebuilder buddy recomms it every time.
 
I have seen rebuilders that won't honor a warranty unless you replace the cooler and let them clean the lines.

Which is lame considering most coolers are in the trans.

I have used the aerosols before sometimes needed 2 cans but no problems afterwards
 
I just gonna flush it myself, I'm sure they won't warranty it because I'm not a shop. Which I feel is stupid...I'm a certified A&P technician, in the USAF, and I've back flushed a few gearbox cooling systems in my time, it's all the same
 
As long as you flush and back flush with a good solvent or canned trans flush till the lines are clear you should be OK. Be careful on the inline filter placement the top line on a 700 is return, same as the 350 but the 400 is the bottom line, some of these filters can restrict lube flow.
