FOA shocks review from Crawltopia.....you get what you pay for

Actually GFW is a business. Unlike you who is not a business. So your statement only goes against your self.

Don't take things so personally Steve. You bought them you like them great for you and for them. They hit their target audience a guy that needs cheap shocks but doesnt care about quality.

How did you come up with that response?
You a real winner man, best wishes.

I came up with the response to your unfactual comment. Does that make sense to you?

Thanks man you too. Lighten up a little. Your probably not as bad in person as you make yourself look online.

When I bought my coil over kit from Ord I was trying to cut corners and do it cheap. I looked at Fox, Ori, professor and even foa.

I kept the original kings cause well they are a proven product and to many horror stories about cheap shocks to scare me. They have worked great over the year, I wish I could test them more but I haven't even thought about putting a pressure gauge on them...

Moral of my story, if you can afford the more name brands then go for it, if you can't better have a great understanding of how a shock works and just do it yourself to have the piece of mind.

I just read the article, it looks to me like their quality is the same as it was 7 years ago, they just black anodize the crappy machining now. They have a solid design, they just don't have any quality control.

I have found their customer service to be pretty good, they generally fix it or send you the parts for free. I just don't like have to rebuild and debur brand new shocks because the quality is so poor so you end up with downtime with these shocks.

Also, the bores that are supposed to be sealed with the pistons usually have scratches and stuff you have to sand out, but even after you sand them out they still aren't perfect obviously.

Also, one time when I was talking to FOA customer service again about my leaking shocks, he mentioned they were waiting for the reservoirs from "overseas". So although they said they are made in the USA, who really knows how many of the parts are made in the USA. They apparently assemble them in Vegas, but we'll never know what percentage of the parts are truly american made, which is kind of deceiving since it says all parts are made in the USA on their website. This also might explain their lack of quality control.

My take is still the same, solid design, decent customer service, horrible quality.

As for the " Made in USA "...... Here's the definition in all 42 pages https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/plain-language/bus03-complying-made-usa-standard.pdf
I read some of it.... I never knew I could fall asleep with my eyes open.

Yeah I realize they can assemble them in the USA and call it good depending on the parts. However, their website specifically said "all parts are made in the usa", and it is a direct lie, very decieving. Maybe they changed it now but that's what it used to say. I just think that's deceiving.
