Foose

if you think the designs of the cars are bad on overhaulin, you should watch pimp my ride a few times, then watch overhaulin again. your opinion will change :D

Overall, I think he does some cool things to the cars. But they are all pretty formulaic.
The thing I hate is that he puts his fugly wheels on them and ruins the look of the car.

I like a lot of his cars from overhaulin, the 66? Nova was nice,

66 Chevelle

I like pimp my ride because they are always pimping cars that look like my friends' cars. And like who doesn't want goldfish in their dashboard.

I am with Paul for the most part on Foose, and from what it sounds like most of you guys.

Most of his cars are very recognizable, which is a very very good marketing trick.

If he has a "look" and someone else builds something like it, not only will everyone thinks its a Foose car, but everyone will think your a copycat.

Hence the reason I think he doesn't go outside the box much.

But yah he would mess up a K5 bad

I remember the days when self respecting hotrodders thought low profile tires and lot's of rim was ghey...

ya know what? it's still ghey.... I blame MTV and rap... :ignore:

the glovebox in my K5? more ingenius than anything Foose has EVER come up with... while he draws a good car, they're all the SAME car.. end of story.. same stance, same design styling, etc, etc...

here's an example....

a blasphemous, hideous offering imo...

A little part of me dies inside every time I see that 'Cuda.

Shame. Damn shame.

I have yet to see anything Foose has done that wasn't **** ugly.

They generally are so bad that they almost make me angry.

Martin

He can overhaul anything I own and wont hear a complaint, worst to worse Il sell the thing.

That truck is sweet. And that Cuda isnt so bad, the wheels are terrible is the problem. The paint is neat cuz its different. Its not your run of the mill, blue with white stripes 69 Chevelle that everyone has. Or a red 69 Camaro.

It's not hard to put different wheels on a car. That's what makes most of his so unatractive. So I don't think his cars are bad, his wheels are bad.

What bothers me most about foose is when a car needs a new engine and he's like time for a 350 chevy crate engine.

With a carb and all. How 'bout an LS?

There have only been a handful of cars that had their original engines sent out and rebuilt. Basically stuff that's not available as a crate replacement.

Give him a break. The wheels are one of a set design, no one else will ever have them, and the engines, audio, interior, everything he puts on a vehicle is donated for advertisement purposes.

so he's a whore.... he should be proud... he's got a bazillion dollars, how about not being a $2 slut and building something you think is cool with parts you want to use regardless of who's sticking a set of headers up his arse? just like Stacey David and the rest of em these days...

the rims/tires are the same as EVERY OTHER CAR EVER BUILT ANYMORE, especially his stuff.... 3"s of sidewall? let's see if we can get 1"!!!!!! :woot: :screwy:

it's freakin boring and repeticous as he!!, but the stupid sheep of this country eat that kinda cr@p up...

I should really just shut up before I get everyone in here hatin me.... :doah: :haha:

I should have clarified and said even when the car is not a chevy.

Anyone watch wheeler dealers? I get a kick out of that show.

I think most in here agree with you.

For the most part, a muscle car should look like a muscle car. However, it is possible to properly execute a modern road race look/function on an old muscle car body. Low, big brakes, wide rubber low profile on 17" wheels that still leave room for sidewall flex. I love seeing a big old heavy muscle car that can corner/stop/go like a slot car. Leave the 18"+ wheels to those with gold teeth.

And, not every car needs a 2 tone paint scheme. Some of them look good. But there have been a bunch that I have said to myself "Oooooh, that will look good in that color. Oh, no. Wait, STOP!!! Crap, he 2 toned it...."
