Foose

It's TV, of course they are going to go overboard for those ratings. Most people watch to see something built that they could never own/afford. That chevelle that Ryoken posted in his first the post, (the pro street one) while I agree that it looks cool, I would watch only one of those builds then be bored. I can see cars like that at any local car show. I wanna see something truely custom not your run of the mill muscle car. But I do agree that most of Foose's wheels are ugly, I don't think a car should have bigger than 18s on it. But some of the things he does are cool

They each have their places. I sold my '69 Camaro for a down payment on my house, it was all original 'cept for an electric fan and a couple gauges. Then a few years later I played with a '68 ElCo, went a little more modern.

The Camaro and the El Camino both look 10x better than anything Chip Foose has ever butchered.

Give him a break. The wheels are one of a set design, no one else will ever have them, and the engines, audio, interior, everything he puts on a vehicle is donated for advertisement purposes.

I can draw a set of wheels on cad in 5 min and have them water cut out of a blank wheel, but i dont think that makes them cool, unless they really do look cool. I understand what you mean, they are just too much imo. But i like suttle.

I guess i'm just a purist but American muscle looks a certain way to me....like that chevelle Ryoken posted and that red camaro...anything else is ghetto..

so he's a whore.... he should be proud... he's got a bazillion dollars, how about not being a $2 slut and building something you think is cool with parts you want to use regardless of who's sticking a set of headers up his arse? just like Stacey David and the rest of em these days...

the rims/tires are the same as EVERY OTHER CAR EVER BUILT ANYMORE, especially his stuff.... 3"s of sidewall? let's see if we can get 1"!!!!!! :woot: :screwy:

it's freakin boring and repeticous as he!!, but the stupid sheep of this country eat that kinda cr@p up...

It's a reality show, he has to do what the producers tell him, and that is based on what advertisers are offering.

His cars were ugly before he had a show.

hahaha so true

I hate it when people (especially family) ask me, "Oh, you work on your car? Do you ever see that really cool car show where that guy fixes up peoples cars with new paint and stuff and they don't even know it?"

its always followed by... "When are you going to finish working on that thing anyways?"

Like if I can't rebuild my whole car in a week I must be doing something wrong.

I would love it if they took one or two cars and did a whole season on the tear down and rebuild process...what I hate is seeing it happen in 15 minutes...they aren't teaching you anything...

Have you ever had to work with someone who graduated from there?
