I don't think there's any Z71 off road package equivalent for square body trucks.
Yup, I’m thinking in square years if you had a limited slip and maybe a skid plate and tow hooks that was probably as Z71y as ya got

Z71 code came around 1988. prior to that it was just an off road package or tow package. Came with HD springs, G80 Posi, and usually 3.73 gears. Same idea different label.

Squarebody options were more ala cart ordering whereas the GMT400 trucks started moving to group-based availability of options. If you were ordering a new squarebody you could get almost any combination of options. But there was no specific "off road" package. You could check the boxes for all the heavy duty items like the quad front shocks, heavier front springs, G80, just not one option like z71 to kick all the off-road bits.
I wonder if the desert foxes required the heavy duty rpo options
