Ford 2wd lifts

Ive been looking on other forums for a while, but all I see is the typical "you're stupid, why do you want to lift a 2 wd" "you cant go muddin with only a 2wd" so does anyone know of a forum that would be more geared towards the go fast, prerunner type stuff or know anything that would help me.

Something like this is pretty much what Im looking for, I just cant find any worthwhile info anywhere. Tuffcountry doesnt make a 2wd lift, and thats the only one anyone here goes with, I dont know anything about other brands. I think another cool thing about this kit is it has longer radius arms, whereas the other kit for a few dollars less does not.

This is for my 89 F150, I was thinking going like a mild prerunner style with a 16x7 or 16x8" and 265's or 285's somewhere in that area. Probably wouldnt be a dd ever again, but if need be I would like it to be pretty mild still, I also dont plan on jumping stuff yet...

The backstory on the truck is that my grandpa bought it back in 90 or 91 when his 86 got totaled, I remember driving this thing around the farm with him when I was 8. I have no intentions of ever selling the thing, I just want something other than a stock 1/2 ton 2wd.

You want "make the truck taller and fit bigger tires" or actually able to bomb around at speed type stuff?

Autofab, Camburg, and a zillion of the other places in SoCal and the SW can sell you stuff to make it all but a full on race truck.

Mainly bigger tires, however if I do it I want it done right. I doubt I will ever actually do take it out in the desert and open it up, but Im pretty much just kicking some ideas around right now as the K10 might be going bye bye.

Any good forums for this stuff? could nt find much so far, but havent had much time in the last week.
