i searched and all the pics i found were of the passenger side. i want to see pics of how they work on the driverside with the steering shaft (if you have pics of both that works too

pvfjr said:Well I started out with my towers kicked back like everyone else, and it was fine. Then I had to move it when I put in the D60 with the behind the axle tie rod. I moved them sticking straight up directly above the axle. It rubs the steering shaft on the drivers side, but it doesn't bind, so no worries.

So how much lift do you have and what size shocks are you using? You may not need yours to go quite as high as 70jimmy's. My towers are cut down a bit, took the angled part off them. That brings them a little closer to the steering shaft than they would be if you had them angled out like he does and ran them through the fender well. I've got the edelbrock 12.5" travel shocks and 7" of lift though, so I couldn't mount it that high. I couldn't use the stock shock mounting tabs on the axle, cause they were too far back too. I welded some new tabs on top of the axle. If you do the same, you'll need to have your tower about an inch higher than mine.
